Take a gander at how viral videos and online word of mouth made these wild biz ideas take off.

1. Grilled Cheese Parachutes

Have you ever wanted a grilled cheese? The ooey, gooey dairy-filled delight is hard to beat. There is surely no other way to improve the instant satisfaction provided by two slices of bread and melted goodness. Until now. Enter, Jafflechutes.

2. Baby Mask

As seen on both Mythbusters and America’s Got Talent, this contorted baby mask is sure to strike terror into any unsuspecting onlookers’ hearts. But just how did this testy tot snag its claim to fame? A video entitled “Sexy Baby Drops His Diapers” made its rounds. Watch the both confusing and frightening AGT audition here.

3. Potato Salad

Who knew it took a community of over 6,000 backers for successful potato salad? This lucky gent went viral when he implored the world for just $10 to make the dish (he didn’t even know what kind yet) and ultimately received around $55,000 - for what I sincerely hope was one bomb meal.

4. Tie Dye Bagel

This thing is so mesmerizing I could stare at it all gosh darn day. Who knew bread with a hole in the middle could be so funky fresh? One Brooklyn bagel store dominates the ‘Gram with its kaleidoscope-like array of rainbow bagels. (Talk about making your followers jealous.)

5. Boyfriend Pillow

There’s nothing more comfortable than the big, strong arm of a languid lover. But what if you’re a little short on the, well... lover? How do you achieve the same level of heavenly bliss and snooze security if you’re forever alone? Do not fret, sassy singles. The boyfriend pillow should do the trick. (Here’s a personal favorite.)

6. Hyperlip

If you’re looking to sport a gummy grimace and really show off those pearly chompers, the Hyperlip is for you. Got #GumFace?

7. Baby Raptor Candle

This dino-mite candle burns and sheds its eggy exterior to reveal a newborn velociraptor, thus, naturally, breaking the Internet along with it. That’s a...rap. (Puns not included.)

8. Pizza Pouch

The moment we’ve all been waiting for. By all means, friends, have your pizza and wear it too.

9. Pooch Selfie

It’s never easy to get man’s best friend still long enough to say cheese. The answer: A smartphone attachment to hold tennis balls and other appetizing items, for better pics with your pooch. It didn’t take long for the strangely genius Kickstarter idea to spread like wildfire through social media. More than $39,000 has already donated to bring the product to life.

What if it was Caturday - everyday? No, we are not kitten you right meow. This self-proclaimed “100% Awesome” cat calendar is essentially everything that we need in life. Step 1: Dress 365 cats up as magical creatures. Step 2: Make enough money to sell a purr-fect calendar. We commend you, Kate Funk.
