SMD Summer Intern Spotlight: Richard Nino

1.Where do you go to school? What is your major? University of North Texas. Double major in criminal justice and public relations

2. What do you like to do for fun? Reading, listening to music, watching movies

3. What’s your favorite thing about social media? What’s your favorite platform? My favorite thing about social media is how personalized you can make it. Whether it’s business or pleasure, it’s still somehow personalized. My favorite is Tumblr because that’s where I feel I can get more personal, and edit my webpage to fit my style.

4. Why did you choose to intern at SMD? I love social media; in today’s society utilizing it is crucial, especially with competing companies. SMD teaches you how to utilize social media, and that was something I felt like I could learn, so I could help companies use it in the future.

5. What’s your favorite quote/saying? C’est la vie. (French for “Such is life”)

6. Favorite movie? THE LION KING!!! I get so excited every time I see it. Or anything with Morgan Freeman, he’s amazing.

7. Best vacation you’ve ever been on? I went to Panama City Beach with my fraternity brothers during spring break 2013. It was a great time, but I also came out of it closer to a lot of my brothers, and a lot of memories that we can look back on.

8. Interesting hobbies? I guess this is more weird than interesting, but I have a huge fascination with attempting to learn raps.

9. If you could live anywhere, where would it be? New York City. It has been my dream to live there since I was in elementary school.

10. If you were a superhero, what power would you have? The ability to steal other people's powers.
