Were you not able to make Social Media Delivered’s Grand Opening? Did your schedule provide an unforeseen conflict? Did you fall terribly ill? Were you being aggressively chased by an elephant in the Serengeti?

It’s okay, we understand. These things happen.

Don’t fret. In case you missed it, we have the lowdown.

Around 4:30 PM, the party gathered around Carrollton Mayor Matthew Marchant and SMD executives to cut the ribbon to our 6,000 square foot new office. It was an emotional ceremony - Shannon Streater and Eve Mayer described the journey of the Social Media Delivered company, beginning in 2008 in Eve’s home. In other words, look at us now!

Mayor Marchant expressed his gratitude for the joy and life the agency pumps into the Carrollton community.

He then surprised us all by presenting us with a plaque honoring our new location. The gift reads, “The City of Carrollton welcomes Social Media Delivered to its new home. We wish you much success and hope your new location provides a great foundation from which Social Media Delivered may grow and prosper.”

The ribbon was cut to the beat of the talented drum line from R.L. Turner High School, before the attendees piled in for a night filled with wine, snacks, tours and general merry-making. It was so exciting to spend time with clients, friends, coworkers and the people who make our town such a beautiful place to live.

The festivities doubled as a birthday celebration for our fantastic CEO, Eve Mayer! When our team provided her a present of a massive Nerf gun (It’s a theme here), the evening closed with a spontaneous Nerf war. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - the people and culture here at SMD are hard to beat.

Thank you again to R.L. Turner High School and the band Auto from Coppell High School for the live music!

Cheers to an incredible event! And for those of you who weren’t able to make it over last night - Pay us a visit and come see the new space. We love visitors!
