Facebook Takes on Google+

Mashable reported on a series of changes Facebook is now testing that will organize your friends into lists automatically, and allow your news feed and posts to be filtered by list. Just as Facebook has made changes in the past to try and keep up with geolocation apps (Facebook Places), social coupons (Facebook Deals), and LinkedIn (Branchout), these new changes appear to be a response to the early explosive growth of Google+. Facebook continues to try and do it all for everybody.  But do users want a social network that does everything? The decision to shut down Facebook Deals indicates that perhaps users aren't buying into the hype.
