Learn with us as an Intern in person or virtually

We offer in-person internships in the following locations:
Dallas, Texas
Austin, Texas
Paris,  France

We also offer virtual internships worldwide.

-Internships consists of 240 hours of unpaid learning and application.  We work with your schedule so you can intern full time or part time depending on your needs.
-These internships are open to High School Seniors, College Students and Experienced Professionals not in school. (Our oldest intern ever was 72 and our most experienced intern is now our CEO)
-Looking for individuals interested in several areas including general business, video production, graphic design, marketing, PR, customer service, social media, accounting, human resources and management.
-Internships may count as school credits but this is not required if you are not a student.
-Instruction will be given by the SMD social media team of professionals and you’ll be assisting on important projects for real clients within the first two weeks.
-You’ll be trained in our proprietary systems used worldwide known as “The Social Media Business Equation”
-Upon successful completion of your internship you will be given consideration for employment at SMD should there be a need and if you are interested.  You will also be given professional recommendations if warranted.

One important note – every single employee in our company started out as an unpaid intern.

Free Social Media Business Equation™ Certification for Interns

With a completed satisfactory internship, you qualify for a free social media examination and certification if you meet the requirements. The Social Media Business Equation Certification™ is a valuable asset for those wishing to enter the field of social media.  When we hire, we give first considerations to interns who become certified through our process.  If there are no suitable positions with us available at the time, we will promote you through our recruiting division where we can get you exposure to available positions in social media with a variety of companies.

We are really great at social media. That is why many advertising and marketing agencies use us to “white label” or fulfill the social media needs on behalf of their clients. We are always looking for more ad agencies to serve. Also, we are really bad at print, logos, signs, making websites etc. But we partner with companies who are great at those things and we are open to forming more partnerships.
