Last Friday our host Mary B. Adams interviewed Dr. William J. Ward, Professor of Social Media at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. Not only was our guest chockfull of insight when it came to debating emerging social networks, the classroom setting, and how media consumption habits are affecting modern education, but he also very graciously let us post this photo to the left!

Dr. William J. Ward is ranked as one of the Top Marketing Professors in the World on Twitter who provides useful content and consistently engages with their followers and truly ”gets it” when it comes to the best ways to use Twitter and other forms of social media. His presentation “Teaching with Twitter” has been featured on Slideshare’s “What’s Hot on Twitter” List. He is also an American Marketing Association Hugh G. Wales Outstanding Faculty Advisor of the Year and has received several Addy Awards for creative and strategic excellence. He has brought over 200 students on international study programs that have been recognized for innovation and creativity.
Additionally, Dr. Ward is on the board of the American Marketing Association of West Michiganand is a past board member of the award winning Rochester American Marketing Association (RAMA). He is a reviewer for the American Journal of Business and the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication on special topics in new media and emerging technologies.
Dr. Ward consults with numerous Fortune 500 companies and has worked on both the client and agency side. His diverse industry experience with integrated marketing communications / 360 degree branding includes a background in: Retail, Technology, Tourism, Finance, Non Profits, and many more.
